The Park is open for visits every day from April 1st until November 1st.

The Map
The park can be visited at any time during opening hours and there is no guide needed. All visitors will be provided with an information handout available in 5 languages: French, German, English, Dutch and Spanish for easy orientation and with descriptions of all the points of interest.

Touring the park, opening hours and other Information

Horaires Touring the park
Visiting the park you follow a shaded trail about 700m long and with a difference in elevation of about 50 meters until you will have reached the Belvédère (= overview) of the world of rocks; The trail is absolutely safe and a visit will last 20 to 40 min. But do not hesitate to stay longer taking rests at the pick nick areas and on the benches on top of the panoramic platform...

Tips for your safety
Do not tour the park on high heels, dogs are to be held on their leashes and it is strictly prohibited to smoke in the park.

Parking
Parking in our parking area (25 cars) is for free, whereas the parking ground you will first reach when arriving from Clermont-L’Hérault is chargeable. In case all parking lots are taken: keep on going to the other end of the village and you will find further free parking (400m). -> Take advantage of our free offers

The Coffee Shop
cervoise en cornes de buffleThe terrace of the open-air museum invites you to order refreshments and small dishes with local specialities while you sit underneath the beautiful stone oak trees. We offer cool bio beer (Cervoise) on draught which you will drink out of buffalo horns and we serve red wine of the barrel of the area Hérault. The Gift Shop
Just next to our museum display you will find a small gift shop with some typical local products: the excellent rosé wines from Cabrières, the wholehearted and “easy-to-take-with” red wine from St.Saturnin, the mead from honey – as already enjoyed by the gallic gods, fresh honey from a bee-farm of the village Carlencas, specialities from the manufacturer L’Epicurien, fine salt of the Camargue, Bio Beer from the Caroux brewery in Nébian and al variety of other souvenirs at a reasonable price...

Guided Tours
It is possible to make reservations for a tour guide, in that case please let us know 48 hrs in advance and get informed on the conditions.

The Museum
After your tour through the park you will have the chance to see an exhibition of some finds of the excavations in Courtinals: clasps, buttons, knives, fragments of vases and dishes.-> A virtual visit to the museum
